Spain - Residential Architecture 22. October 2003

In 2001-02 mab wrote the texts for Catalonia, Barcelona, Madrid, Andalusia, Calabria, and Galicia states for this 450-page volume published by Koenemann Publishers. In addition to analysis of icons of Spanish architecture such as Antoni Gaudí this project included essays on central figures of post-war Spanish architecture who resisted the strict ideology during the Franco era and formed the foundations for the lively present-day architecture of today's Spain. The major focus of my contribution to this book lay in the analysis of the various traditional residential typologies in the far-strewn regions of the country.
