The design concept foresees removing the existing neo-Roman stylistic elements that were installed here in the early 1990’s and pursuing a modern approach for a minimalist space. The defective pool was covered over to create a new, light-filled place for intercultural exchange during private and public events held by the ambassador. A special focus of the new space is formed by the gallery wall that extends along the entire length of the space and serves as an exhibition surface for Malaysian folk art (batiks). The complete planning and building services were rendered in 5 months. Construction implementation was executed by the Berlin firm RO-DO GmbH, Alexander Dobriloff.
